Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to a range of high-profile animated series, bringing characters and worlds to life with energy, style, and storytelling precision. El Tigre
El Tigre is a Nickelodeon animated series about a boy torn between heroism and villainy, set in a stylized, Tijuana-inspired city. Known for its bold art and cultural flair, it was Nickelodeon’s first fully Flash-animated show and won multiple Emmy and Annie Awards.
With a strong foundation in visual storytelling, I specialise in crafting rich, stylised environments that enhance character and narrative. My background work on El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera brought to life the vibrant, high-energy world of Miracle City—blending bold shapes, dramatic angles, and cultural influences to support the show’s unique tone and action-driven storytelling. I focus on composition, mood, and world cohesion, creating layouts that not only look compelling but feel alive.
Mad Cows
Mad Cows is an Irish animated children's series created, written, and directed by Noel Kelly. Produced by Keg Kartoonz, the show premiered on RTÉ in 2016. The story begins when a mysterious bolt of lightning strikes a group of grazing cattle, granting them the ability to walk and talk. The series follows their adventures as they navigate their new lives.Known for its quirky humour and unique premise, Mad Cows adds a distinctive touch to Irish animation.
I led the visual development of environments and backgrounds for the Irish animated series Mad Cows. Defined the show's quirky, offbeat world through stylized layouts and rich environmental storytelling, balancing humor and visual clarity to support character-driven animation. From concept to final design, I guided the look and feel of the series’ world across production.
From Layout to Production
As the Lead Environment and Background Designer for the animated series Mad Cows, I was responsible for designing and delivering the full visual journey—from early layout sketches and key location concepts to finalized background paintings ready for production. My focus was on building stylized, story-driven environments that reflect the show’s quirky tone and rural Irish charm. These works demonstrate my ability to shape visual narratives, maintain design consistency, and deliver animation-ready assets with efficiency and care.
From Concept to Production - Danger Mouse
I co-led the creative reboot of Danger Mouse for the BBC, reimagining the iconic series for a new generation. We balanced its classic 2D charm with a bold, stylized vision of modern London—infusing the show with fresh energy while honoring its legacy.
